First Academy, previously called First Baptist Christian School, is a ministry of First Baptist Rogers. The school seeks to partner with the church to fulfill the great commission of making disciples of all the nations. Our goal of making disciples begins with “training up children in the way they should go” by teaching them about Christ and His principles for living while also giving them an excellent academic education.


• Align the mission of the school with the mission of First Baptist Church to make disciples of all the nations.

• Supervise all teachers/staff and evaluate according to best industry standards and procedures as may be stated in the Staff Guidelines and Policies Handbook.

• Develop the faculty members and identify areas of professional growth needed and write a professional development plan for each faculty member.

• Ensure all state, ANSAA, ACSI, and industry requirements are met to allow for the highest level of educational quality possible for all students.

FIRST ACADEMY Receptionist


First Academy is a PK3 through fifth-grade Christian school that is a ministry of First Baptist Rogers. The foundational purpose of the school is to provide academic and spiritual training for students during their first years of education. The overall responsibility of the school’s receptionist is to provide an initial positive and welcoming introduction and contact with the school.


• Answer the telephone and direct calls to the administrator and/or administrative assistant.
• Allow entrance to parents and visitors to the school. Make sure visitors sign in and get a nametag.
• Oversee the checkout of students making sure that pickup persons have parental permission to do so.
• Contact classrooms as needed to get lunches or other items to students or call students for early dismissal.
• Make copies for teachers or assist them in other ways as needed.

Overall Responsibility

This position is a vital part of the Communications Team assisting both the Graphic Designer and
Communications Manager, as well as each other ministry. The overall responsibilities of this role will be social media, photography, ministry support, printing, and making connections between our ministries, church body, and community.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Planning and Execution

• Help plan social content based on current events, best engagement, and upcoming events
• Decide new ideas for social media
• Research trends and stay up-to-date on new social advancements
• Work alongside Communications Manager to layout editorial calendars
• Schedule social as needed per Communications Manager

Our Kids Day Out program is currently seeking part-time teachers. 

  • Hours: Part-Time 12-13 hours a week (Mondays & Thursdays 8:15-2:15)
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous Experience in a childcare setting is preferred

Olive Street Campus Ministry Assistant

HOURS: Monday-Thursday; 8AM-1PM; 20 hours per week
Mondays primarily at Pleasant Grove; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at Olive Street

Overall Responsibility

Responsible to the Olive Street Executive Pastor to provide secretarial support to the Olive Street Campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide secretarial support to the Olive Street Campus
  • Attend weekly Discipleship Team meetings at the Pleasant Grove Campus (11am Mon.)
  • Attend weekly Olive Street staff meetings at the Olive Street Campus (10am Wed.)
  • Help to ensure all LIFE Groups are prepared for Sunday and Wednesday
