Why Summer Leadership Academy?



  • First Baptist Rogers will mentor and encourage students who have publicly responded to a vocational call to ministry
  • Gain academic credit from a Christian college for this program from a faculty comprised of those with Master's Degrees or higher from accredited colleges and seminaries

The following Ministry areas are available to apply for internship



Expectations


All interns will be available to serve on Sundays, attend camps, retreats, or mission trips offered by Preschool, Kids, and Student ministry areas. In addition, interns will serve at summer activities such as VBS, Local Missions, hospital and nursing home visits, and other practical ministry needs. 


Requirements

  • Out of high school at least one year
  • Called by God to vocational ministry
  • Flexible
  • Complete the application process (including Culture Index Survey)
  • Pass a background check

Additional Information

  • Interns will work every Sunday and serve as church staff. Dress code is business casual on Sundays. Remember, you will never offend people by your modesty.
  • Internship begins Wednesday, May 28, 2025 and ends Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
  • You will be paid a weekly amount for the 10-weeks that you work. Vacation/time off may or may not be allowed. If vacation days are allowed then you will not be paid for the time you were off. 
  • Transportation is not provided to daily work. You will need your own vehicle to drive to and from work. 
  • Housing may be available at a host home, but is not guaranteed.
