Main Idea: Doctrinal belief and obedient behavior cause us to move against the current of culture and drift towards sanctification and spiritual growth.

God has warned against neglecting a great salvation. 1-4

• We must pay attention to what we have heard.
• We must avoid drifting away.
• We must be aware of impending judgment.
• We must not neglect this great salvation.
• We must not neglect the witnesses to this salvation.
• The Lord Himself has spoken.
• Those hearing confirmed the message.
• The signs and wonders God used to confirmed the message according to His will.

God has revealed Jesus our great Savior. 5-9

• God has crowned Him.
• God has appointed Him.
• God has exalted Him.
• God has revealed Him.
• We see Jesus in His humanity.
• We see Jesus in His crucifixion (suffering of death).
• We see Jesus crowned with glory and honor.
• We see Jesus by grace as our substitutionary atonement.
