Passage: Revelation 19:1-10

1A.  Hallelujah! He is mighty to save. 1

1 After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying,

Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God

1B.  His might is demonstrated in His salvation.

The salvation that God is praised for here is completed salvation or the anticipation of the culmination of salvation in glorification.

2B.  His might is deserving of His glory and power.

This Hallelujah declares the trinity of salvation, glory and power belong to God.

2A.  Hallelujah! He is righteous to judge. 2-3

2 because His judgments are true and righteous; for He has judged the great harlot who was corrupting the earth with her immorality, and He has avenged the blood of His bond-servants on her.” 3 And a second time they said, “Hallelujah! Her smoke rises up forever and ever.”

1B.  His righteousness is declared from heaven.  2-3

The righteousness of God stands in contrast to the corruption and immorality and murder of the great harlot, Babylon, this world and its cultural.

2B.  His righteousness is demonstrated in judgment. 2-3

The righteousness of God not only stands in contrast as a testimony against the wickedness of this world, but God demonstrates righteousness in judging the wickedness of the world and avenging the blood of the martyrs.

3A.  Hallelujah! He is worthy to worship. 4-5

4A.  Hallelujah! He is ready to come. 6-9

6 Then I heard something like the voice of a great multitude and like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying,“Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.

7 “Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” 8 It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

9 Then he said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’ ” And he said to me, “These are true words of God.”

1B.  His readiness is shown in the proclamation of the great crowd.  (3 fold proclamation)

1C.  Declaration of His reign  6b

6 Then I heard something like the voice of a great multitude and like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying,“Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.

3B.  His readiness is shown in the invitation to the grand event. 9-10

9 Then he said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’ ” And he said to me, “These are true words of God.” 10 Then I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
