Jesus’ cross speaks as central to the Gospel.
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received. . .
Jesus’ cross speaks of the sufficiency of Christ.
Christ died. . . .
His death was a tragedy from a human perspective.
His death was a necessity from a divine perspective.
His death was agony and charity (agape) from love’s perspective.
Jesus’ cross speaks of the substitutionary atonement of the Christ.
. . .for our sins. . .
Galatians 1:4 who gave Himself for our sins, so He may rescue us from this present evil age, according to will of our God and Father,
Objective Achievement of salvation of lost sinners:
Romans 3:25 whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation bin His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed;
Hebrews 2:17; 1 John 2:2; 4:10
His substitutionary death. . .
Enables us to live by faith
Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
Enables us to live for Him
2 Corinthians 5:15 and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.
Enables us to live in righteousness
1 Peter 2:24 and He Himself abore our sins in His body on the bcross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.
Enables us to be sanctified
Hebrews 13:12 Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate.
Enables us to have a clear conscience
Hebrews 9:14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through bthe eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Enables us to enter God’s presence
Hebrews 10:19 Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
Enables us to have power in the Gospel
1 Corinthians 1:18 For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Enables the breaking of racial barriers of hostility
Ephesians 2:14-16 But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near dby the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, 15 by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might cmake the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, 16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity.
Enables the evangelization of all nations
Revelation 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.
Jesus’ cross speaks of the sufficiency of Scripture.
. . .according to the Scriptures.

Romans 5:9 Much more then, having now been justified aby His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.
Colossians 1:20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.
