Olive Street Campus Ministry Assistant

HOURS: Monday-Thursday; 8AM-1PM; 20 hours per week
Mondays primarily at Pleasant Grove; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at Olive Street

Overall Responsibility

Responsible to the Olive Street Executive Pastor to provide secretarial support to the Olive Street Campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide secretarial support to the Olive Street Campus
  • Attend weekly Discipleship Team meetings at the Pleasant Grove Campus (11am Mon.)
  • Attend weekly Olive Street staff meetings at the Olive Street Campus (10am Wed.)
  • Help to ensure all LIFE Groups are prepared for Sunday and Wednesday programs
    • Includes coordinating and ordering LIFE Group curriculum
    • Preparing and/or printing LIFE Group announcements
    • Helping with whatever is needed for the Adult LIFE Groups
  • Maintain adult LIFE Group classroom supplies (pens, forms, name tags, etc.)
  • ACS database: attendance tracking, follow-up, and running reports
  • Budgets and credit card info: communicate budget status, including submitting credit card expense reports and ensure that receipts are applied to the proper accounts
  • Communications: manage website data, weekly emails, texts and social media; creating, editing and proofing of announcements in various outlets
  • Planning Center: entering, updating and managing event information 
  • Transporting items from one campus to the other (mostly paperwork and small items)
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Office Manager, OS Executive Pastor or the Discipleship Team


  • Basic office skills (making copies, sending emails, answering phone calls)
  • Knowledge of ACS or similar church data ministry program
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • A calling to serve God in a church staff position
  • Flexibility
  • Work well with others
  • Confess to be a born-again Christian and to have made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
  • Believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God
  • Accept FBR's Statement of Faith without reservation
  • Manifest by daily example the highest Christian virtue serving as a Christian role model both in and out of church
  • Demonstrate and uphold the core values of First Baptist Rogers: Christ-likeness, family, church, educational excellence, service, and stewardship
  • Become a member of and faithfully attend and support First Baptist Rogers
