Every member of First Baptist is a witness to our world.  How do we reach our world?  By sending out biblically qualified and trained men to plant indigenous churches in the unreached areas of our globe.

First Baptist is partnered with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.  Through are giving to the IMB, in the last year we have presented the gospel to more than 1,400,000 individuals around the globe, baptized more than 266,000 new believers, started more than 24,000 churches, and engaged 133 new people groups.

But a great task remains, out of the world 11,000 –plus people groups, nearly 7,000 are considered unreached; they include more than half of the world’s population.  More than 3,000 unreached people groups are unengaged, having no church planting strategy at all.

In 2014, First Baptist focused our church planting strategies on two countries with the highest number of unreached people groups, India and China.  We also continue to plant churches and meet physical needs in one of the world’s most underserved countries, Nicaragua.
